The retainer exists so that when the moment arrives — and it always does — the relationship is already in place and the answer comes quickly. Every decision made correctly, the first time. The dream keeps its momentum.

What this is

A private, ongoing
technical relationship.

When a question arises — about a component, a supplier, a rebuild specification, a machinist's proposal — you have someone to ask who will give you a definitive answer grounded in real engineering experience. Not forum consensus. Not an educated guess. A considered technical judgment from someone who has delivered at the highest levels of motorsport and OEM Tier-1 manufacturing.

The retainer structure matters as much as the expertise behind it. Because the relationship is ongoing and paid directly by the client, the technical advice given is unambiguously in the client's interest — not the shop's, not the supplier's, not the restorer's. There is no commission, no referral, no secondary agenda. The retainer secures that loyalty from the first conversation forward.

It is not a restoration service. It is not project management. It is access — to knowledge, to capability, and to a network built across decades at the top of the industry — with the assurance that every recommendation made is made entirely for you.

What's included

Five ways to keep
a dream moving forward.

01
Technical decisions

Every specification, component choice, and rebuild proposal reviewed against factory engineering data and race-level standards — before you commit. The right answer, not the convenient one.

02
Supplier & machinist guidance

Direct assessment of who to trust — and why — across a network built over 25+ years in professional motorsport and OEM Tier-1 manufacturing. A clear recommendation, not a list of options.

03
Unobtainium

When the part no longer exists, it can be engineered and manufactured to correct specification. The right alloy, the right tolerances, the right result. The dream does not stall for lack of a component.

04
Momentum

Each decision made correctly the first time means no rework, no delay, no cost to undo. The project moves — and keeps moving — toward the vision you started with, on time and on standard.

05
On-site presence

Some moments in a restoration demand eyes on the car, hands on the components, and a direct conversation with the shop. Available to travel to your location for a full day of on-site technical assessment, specification review, and supplier meetings — ensuring the work being done matches the standard the dream requires.

$2,000 per day, plus travel expenses.

More than 25 years designing and validating engine components at Honda Performance Development and Toyota Racing Development — including Indianapolis 500, CART and NASCAR winning power units, with supplier experience extending to F1 and MotoGP programs. Working at the level where there is no margin for approximation meant developing a discipline around decisions that is uncommon outside professional motorsport.

That experience extends to OEM Tier-1 manufacturing: an $8M production line for the C8 Corvette valvetrain program at Del West Engineering, delivered from concept to volume production in 18 months. The ability to not only specify but to manufacture — to correct specification, under real production conditions — is what separates this retainer from technical consulting alone.

A small number of private clients at any one time.

Retainer
$250
per month
Month-to-month. No long-term commitment.
30 days notice to close.
  • Direct supplier and machinist recommendations with personal assessment
  • Pre-authorization review of any rebuild specification, produtcion drawings or parts order
  • Engineering and manufacture of NLA components to correct specification
  • Access to specialist network across the US, Japan, UK, Italy, Germany, and France
  • Technical and specification review questions by email (5 hr/mon) — 48-hour response
  • Two 45-minute calls or video conferences per month
  • On-site presence available — $2,000 per day plus travel expenses

Meeting them requires someone who has worked at the level where there is no margin for approximation. That precision is brought to a small number of private clients — so the dream they have committed to arrives exactly as they imagined it.
